Terracotta Plan
The Terracotta plan allows a few days conservation or mortuary expenses so that family/friends can say their goodbyes before the cremation.
If and when you take up a plan you will receive all documents in the post. Included in the documents is your plan certificate, keys facts, terms and condition but most importantly 2 blue cards containing our emergency contact details. We provide 2 so that you can keep one and give the other to a friend or family member.
When the time comes, someone will call whether it be you next of kin a Dr or nurse. We would then instruct the appointed funeral director who will collect the you and place you under our care. There will be a provision for the sala veletorio for 25 hours. The funeral director will hold the deceased for up to 4 days allowing time for family and friends to have a final viewing and say their goodbyes, this can be individuals or groups. Once we have received confirmation from the next of kin that everyone who needs to see the deceased has done so, we will proceed to cremate the deceased.
A few days later the funeral director will return to the next of kin with the ashes in an urn and paperwork. The paperwork includes, Death certificates, Spanish & international copies as well as cremation certificates.
